Things To Bring

Close-toed shoes- In order to avoid injuries to the feet, we prefer that all campers wear close-toed shoes only. They can have a pair of sandals for walking to and from the pool or bathhouse.

Bedding- Each camper needs to bring their own pillow and bedding, either a sleeping bag or sheets and blankets. All beds are twin bunk beds

Clothes- 6 sets of durable, comfortable play clothes, nothing dressy. Include: shorts, tops, jeans, swimsuits, a light jacket, plenty of underwear and socks, and 1 or 2 pairs of athletic shoes.

Toiletries- including shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, etc.

Pool towel and shower towel

Sunscreen and bug spray

Bible

RIver Adventure Options-If your camper is rafting or kayaking for an adventure option they need a pair of river shoes- Crocs are not acceptable. A pair of well-fitting water shoes or an old pair of tennis shoes is recommended.

Swimwear- When packing your clothes, especially swimsuits, please consider that as Christians we need to be modest with our appearance. We might ask campers to wear a t-shirt over their swimsuit if we decide it is inappropriate

Don't Need- Please leave cell phones, tablets, radios, electronic devices, especially games, or other valuables at home

Camperships

In thanks to those who support the Gayle Ross Memorial Campership Fund we are able to provide the funding requested by many who cannot financially afford to send their children to camp. Our prayer is that no one should be kept from coming to camp because of financial hardship.

In order to be considered for campership funds all you have to do is call camp, talk to your Lutheran pastor about the opportunities, and fill out the campership form: Campership Fund Application. We mostly use the campership funds to help agencies send numerous kids to camp. However, we also will work with individual famiies. If you know of an agency who would benefit from these funds, please let us know. If you are an individual family seeking assistance, we will ask you to give what you can, at least the $50 deposit per camper. We trust that you will be honest with us about your needs.

Camp Store

Our camp store is in the building next to the deck and dining hall. The deck is where registration occurs for each summer session. So, on Sunday and Friday the store is open to parents, family and friends who want to shop for apparal and souvenirs. We also have a way that you can put money on your camper's account so they can shop during their week of camp. As part of the ONLINE registration, you will see a spot to put money into your camper's Store Card.We provide an afternoon snack of soda and candy, and an evening snack as part of the registration fee. Your camper will not need ANY cash during the week, so please be sure they do not have any.  The store will be open during the week for apparel and souvenirs.

Email Your Camper During the Week

You can send your camper emails that will be printed each day and handed out to the campers.

This function wil be active only during their week of camp.  It wil be found by going to Itinerary, then click on your camper, then under Registration Details-Camp Services.

You can give your family, grandparents, etc. access to that account so that they can also send emails. Do this within your Camp Services where it says Manage Guests.  This makes both emails and photos very secure, as only you and your approved guests will be able to send emails and see pictures of your child.

Photo Gallery

You can view, and purchase, photos of your camper through SmugMug, also found inside your Camp Lutherhoma Account, by going to Itinerary, click on your child, and under Camp Services, and connected with your camper. This way the photos are secured, and not available to the public.
